For those not in the know, SafeContractor is a leading third party health and safety accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in Health & Safety management amongst its contractors. Its used by thousands of organisations in the UK including SME's and FTSE 100 companies. To gain accreditation you have to show that you are committed to the Health and Safety of your team, your clients and the general public, not in a wishy washy "oh yes, we do that" kind of way, in a demonstrable way. If you can't prove that you have the policies in place and that you actually communicate them and stick to them, you're not getting accredited.
